Maharashtra Karate Association (MKA) is the governing body of Karate in the state of Maharashtra. And is one of the founding members of the All India karate-do federation (AIKF).

MKA has been conducting its activities since the last 30 years and currently has active members in over 30 districts of the state.

Maharashtra Karate Association has the distinction of conducting DSO school games, Mayors cup trophy, University championships, Maharashtra Karate Association (MKA) state championships, and is the only body to send its teams for the official AIKF national championships, National Games, South Asian Federation (SAF) Games, Asian Games, Asian Karate Federation (AKF) and World Karate Federation (WKF) championships.
